Credit card safety

We use the latest technology to protect your credit card information and do not release it to any outside organization. You can place your orders using Netscape's SSL encryption (the Internet standard for secure transactions) or you can telephone, fax or email your card information to us.

As reported in a recent Knight-Ridder News Service article (which appeared in the Philadelphia Inquirer), "In 1997, there were no reports of credit-card information stolen on the World Wide Web during a transfer of information over a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) line, the kind of line used by Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer. There were no slip-ups. None."

Privacy Guarantee

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This means that we will not distribute, sell or rent your name or personal information about you to any third party.

However, we must cooperate fully should a situation arise where we are required by law or legal process to provide information about a customer.

Damaged or defective items

If you receive a damaged or defective item, we will promptly send you a replacement or issue you a full refund after you have returned the damaged or defective product. You will not be charged any additional shipping or handling fees for replacement shipments.

Inventory availability and backorders

Inventory information

We cannot guarantee that a product listed as "In stock" will actually ship right away, as inventory can change significantly from day to day. In rare cases, a title may be in stock when you place your order, and sold out by the time your order is processed. Should there be any difficlty, we will Email you or contact you by phone to discuss alternative arrangements.

Backorders (out of stock items)

Backordered merchandise includes items that are not currently in stock. In most cases, these items are on order from the manufacturers. In some cases, we are awaiting or researching stock information from one or more of our suppliers. When we receive the product, we notify you via email and ship it to you promptly.

If for any reason we determine that a backordered item will no longer be available at all, we notify you immediately by email, cancel the item from your order and delete the item from our catalog.

Note: we never charge your credit card until the item ships; therefore, no adjustment will need to be made to your credit card upon order cancellation. If payment was made by cheque or money order, your credit will be placed in your Myshop account and will be automatically applied to your next order. If you prefer a cheque refund, you may request one by Contacting us.
